Suggest a business or an article update

We would rather publish a short list we can stand behind than a long one we cannot. That means we check what a business publishes about itself before it goes in a guide, and we say what we could not confirm. The more specific you are, the faster this goes.

If you are proposing a new article

  • Send a ready-to-publish draft with a page title of roughly 50 to 60 characters.
  • It has to be genuinely useful to LGBTQ+ readers in Austin and Central Texas.
  • We may edit it.
  • We will not run AI-generated writing unless a person has edited it and the facts hold up.
  • Ideas are welcome too, not just finished drafts.

If you are suggesting a change to something we already published

  • Tell us exactly what should change, and which page.
  • Giving us the replacement wording in the same voice speeds things up a lot.
  • Corrections are genuinely welcome. If we have something wrong, we want to know.

We treat everything here as a claim to check, not as confirmation. Being straightforward about what you do and do not know makes a submission more useful, not less.
