LGBTQ+ and Trans-Affirming Massage Therapists in Austin

These are licensed massage therapists in Austin who say, in their own words, that they welcome queer, trans, and nonbinary clients. Four of them are part of the community themselves. This guide covers licensed therapeutic massage only, and every therapist below holds a current Texas massage therapist license that we checked against state records in October 2026.

Our How We Choose page explains how we picked them. The welcome has to come from the therapist, in their own words. A review or a directory badge doesn’t count. The license has to check out too.

The Therapists

Summer Dunford at Myo Austin Massage and Movement

Summer’s profile at Myo says it plainly: “Being transgender, neurodiverse, and a survivor of CPTSD, Summer is a highly empathetic practitioner who brings a lived understanding of what it means to seek care that truly honors who you are.” She works in Swedish, deep tissue, and Myo’s own deep-pressure style. She also says she wants to add lymphatic drainage for post-op clients, especially trans clients. That’s a plan, not something she offers yet, so ask if it matters to you.

  • Where: 4616 Triangle Ave, Suite 407, Austin 78751 (Myo’s only location). 512-458-4696
  • License: Massage therapist MT139366, current. Licensed since 2023
  • Cost: deep tissue runs $65 for 30 minutes, $125 for 60, $188 for 90

Lance Weihmuller at Touch Ceremony

“Being queer and gender fluid myself, I understand bodies beyond normative ideas of gender, size, type, and shape,” Lance writes. Lance practices Esalen massage and keeps sliding-scale and pay-what-you-can pricing, including pay-what-you-can for Black and Indigenous clients. On draping, the site says only as much of your body is uncovered as you want, and everyone gets the choice of a breast drape or an undraped chest.

  • Where: Potion, 1825 Fort View Rd, #107, Austin 78704. Some pages on Lance’s site still give an older Springdale Road address, so confirm when you book. Also a home studio in Lockhart, and house calls
  • License: Massage therapist MT133211, current, printed on the site
  • Cost: about $120 for 60 minutes and $155 for 90 in Austin; less in Lockhart; sliding scale on request
  • Booking: online booking was off when we checked, so call or text 817-296-6839. More on Touch Ceremony’s site
  • Good to know: 24 hours’ notice to cancel, or you pay half

“I am a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, this is a safe and welcoming place for all people no matter how you express yourself,” Valerie writes. Valerie does deep tissue, Swedish, sports, and injury work, plus cupping and energy work, and drapes with a sheet; you undress to your comfort level. If you want an area left alone, say so before you start.

  • Where: 3625 Menchaca Rd, Suite 303, Austin 78704, on the third floor. There’s no elevator. Park in a visitor spot. 571-218-2615 (text or email works best)
  • License: Massage therapist MT133053, current, printed on the site
  • Cost: $120 for 60 minutes, $160 for 90, $195 for 120

Taylor Middlebrook at Middlebrook Wellness

“I’m proudly LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent-friendly. I’ve worked hard to create a space where people don’t have to wonder whether they’re welcome or celebrated,” Taylor writes. Taylor’s site treats consent as an ongoing conversation, not a box on an intake form, and says plainly that massage there is professional and non-sexual.

  • Where: Southeast Austin, 78744; address shared when you book. 737-326-3824
  • License: Massage therapist MT145732, current
  • Cost: $106 for 45 minutes, $176 for 75, $282 for two hours
  • Booking: online booking

Kelly Marshall at Spectrum Wellness

Kelly’s About page says that through yoga they “realized that they were non-binary and transgender.” Spectrum Wellness says it specializes in “creating a safe space of healing and empowerment for individuals in the LGBTQIA+ population.” Kelly has worked as a massage therapist since 2007 and also offers somatic therapy, Reiki, and yoga therapy. Kelly is in our queer and trans yoga guide too.

  • Where: every massage on Kelly’s booking page is a house call (“I will bring table, linens, and lotion to your location”). The site’s contact page also lists weekend office hours at Creekside Whole Health Center, 1209 Parkway, Austin 78703, near N Lamar, so ask which one applies. No phone is listed
  • License: Texas lists a current massage therapist license, MT104143, for Kelly M. Marshall in Travis County. The site doesn’t print a license number, so we matched it by name and county
  • Cost: $160 for 60 minutes, $240 for 90, at your place. There’s a free consult call first
  • Booking: Kelly’s Calendly page. More on Spectrum Wellness’s site

Oak Haven Massage

Oak Haven says on its site, “We are proud to be an inclusive and LGBTQ+ friendly environment where every client feels comfortable, respected, and cared for.” The useful part is on the team pages: each therapist lists their pronouns, and you can filter by gender, so you can pick who works on you before you book. One therapist, Alex M., describes herself as “a gender-affirming, LGBT-friendly, and body positive therapist.” She’s listed at both the Pecan Park and MoPac studios, so ask which one when you book.

  • Where: Pecan Park, 12809 N FM 620, Suite 700, 78750 (512-610-5300); MoPac and 2222, 5770 N MoPac Expy, Suite 300, 78731 (512-291-2811); South First, 900 S 1st St, Unit 150, 78704 (512-363-5720)
  • License: all three studios hold current Texas massage establishment licenses. Oak Haven lists therapists by first name and last initial, so we couldn’t match individual licenses
  • Cost: from $115 for 50 minutes; price depends on the therapist
  • Booking: Oak Haven booking
  • Reviews: 4.9 on Google from 1,859 reviews at the Pecan Park studio, as of October 2026

Before You Book

Some of what matters most isn’t on any website. Ask before your first visit:

  • Draping: how will I be covered, and can I keep my chest covered or undraped as I prefer?
  • Your therapist: can I choose a therapist by gender?
  • Intake: does your form ask for the name and pronouns I use?
  • Binders and surgery: I wear a binder, or I’ve had surgery recently. How do you work around that? If your surgery was recent, check with your surgeon before you book.
  • Stopping: if something doesn’t feel right, can I pause or end the session and how?
  • Getting there: how many stairs, and where do I park?
  • Money: do you offer a sliding scale, and what’s your cancellation policy?
  • Back or joint pain: a chiropractor may be a better fit. Our LGBTQ+ friendly chiropractors guide lists ones we checked with the state board

If something goes wrong during a session, you can file a complaint about a licensed massage therapist with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

What We Couldn’t Check

We didn’t book sessions, so nothing here is a first-hand review. Reviews we mention are counts and ratings from each platform on the date we looked. We couldn’t match individual licenses at Oak Haven, and we’re still confirming licenses for two more therapists at another Austin studio before adding them.

Prices, locations, and schedules change. Call ahead to confirm.

Last checked: October 2026. License status from Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records dated October 9, 2026 (Kelly Marshall’s on October 14, 2026). Practicing in Austin and want to be listed, or see something wrong? Use our contact page.

How We Check

We check every business and group we name against what it publishes about itself: its own site, its booking page, or its state license. No business pays to be in a guide, and we don’t earn a commission when you book.

The full method is on How We Choose. If something here is wrong or out of date, send a correction.
