LGBTQ+ Financial Advisors in Austin, Checked With FINRA and the SEC

Of the Austin financial advisors we found, Leah Coleman at Orchard Financial Group says the most about LGBTQ+ clients. Her fee-only firm lists guidance for “LGBTQ+ individuals and families,” and she writes about coming out later in life herself. Chase Kincannon at Cardinal Financial Partners is a former board chair of the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Caleb Parsons at Edward Jones is a Chamber member.

We looked up all three on FINRA BrokerCheck and the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site on October 13, 2026. All three are registered, and none has a disclosure on record. This page isn’t financial advice. Our How We Choose page explains the method.

Advisors Who Name LGBTQ+ Clients

Leah Coleman

Its Austin LGBT Chamber listing says the firm is fiduciary, is “never paid a commission of any kind,” and lists LGBTQ couples and families among its services, along with equity compensation reviews.

Advisors Connected to the Austin LGBT Chamber

Chamber membership is something a business signs up for. It doesn’t tell you how an advisor works with LGBTQ+ clients, so ask.

Securities and advisory services go through LPL Financial.

Banks and Credit Unions

Several banks and credit unions belong to the Austin LGBT Chamber. They’re listed in the Chamber’s Finance & Insurance directory. Membership doesn’t describe their services, and we didn’t review each bank’s own site, so we haven’t listed them one by one.

Before You Hire an Advisor

  • Check the record yourself. Search the name on FINRA BrokerCheck and the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site. Both show registrations, employment history, and any disclosures, such as customer complaints or regulatory actions
  • Ask how they’re paid: a flat or hourly fee, a percentage of assets, or commissions on products
  • Ask whether they are a fiduciary for all the advice they give you
  • Ask about your situation by name: an unmarried partner, a name change, adoption or surrogacy costs, or a household that doesn’t fit the forms

If you’re buying a home, our list of Austin realtors who say they’re LGBTQ+ has license checks too.

What We Couldn’t Check

We didn’t hire any of these advisors. We didn’t verify CFP certification with the CFP Board, so the designations here are as each advisor lists them. Chase Kincannon and Caleb Parsons don’t say anything about their own identity, and we don’t assume it. The old version of this page had general advice on taxes, Social Security, and banks with no sources. We cut it.

Last checked: October 2026. Registrations from FINRA BrokerCheck and the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site, practice details from each advisor’s own site and the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce directory, all read October 13, 2026. See a mistake? Use our contact page.
