Queer Austin by Day of the Week: Recurring LGBTQ+ Events

Something queer happens in Austin every night of the week, and most of it repeats. Monday is two-step at Sagebrush. Tuesday has a free drag game show, a running club and social tennis. Weekends have drag brunch, group rides and the softball league.

Each line below says when an event usually happens and links the organizer’s calendar, because nights move. Each one also links the Queer Austin guide where we checked it, with the address, cost and the fine print. If you’d rather skip the bar, start with the group bike rides, the running club or the sober queer spaces guide. For a big night out, our drag shows guide has more.

Monthly and Moving Nights

Monthly

These happen every month or every week, but the day or the place changes, so check the calendar first.

Before You Go

  • Check the calendar the day of. Venues, start spots and casts change, and a few of these skip holidays or the hottest months
  • Bring ID and cash for the bar nights. The two-step night is cash only, drag shows ask you to tip, and the bar nights that list an age are 21+
  • Going alone is normal. The two-step night says you don’t need a partner, Sapphic Weekly says most regulars came solo the first time, and the group rides post their meeting spots in public
  • Not drinking? The rides, runs, book clubs, walks and Local Queer’s happy hour don’t center on a bar. Our sober spaces guide has more
  • Under 18? OutYouth’s drop-ins are the place to start. The bar nights above that list an age are 21+

What We Couldn’t Check

  • We haven’t been to these events. Every line comes from an organizer’s own page or event listing, checked for one of our guides between October 12 and 14, 2026
  • Exact days for monthly events that don’t post a fixed pattern, such as Local Queer’s happy hour and The Little Gay Book Club
  • Whether Softball Austin’s Sunday games run between seasons. Its site has the next season
  • Accessibility at each venue. Ask the organizer about steps, restrooms and seating before you go

Last checked: October 2026. Built from our guides, each checked against the organizers’ own pages between October 12 and 14, 2026; next dates as posted then. We recheck this page monthly. See how we choose what goes on a list.
